CHGENVNAM - Update your EXTOL environment name

27th May 2012

In the upper left hand corner of the EXTOL EDI green screen session, there is a reference to EXTOL. It might say : “EXTOL EDI Integrator”, “EXTOL Integrator 6.2” and etc.

Sometimes we have multiple EXTOL Environments installed and we need to know which environment we are working in. By simply updating the value in the upper left hand corner our lives might be alittle bit easier.

To update the EXTOL EDI environment name run the command: CHGENVNAM. Before you run the command you might want to check to see if the corresponding DTAARA exists: YYCOTXA. This data area should exist in the respective EXTOL files library.

If the data area does not exist then take option CRTOBJ(*YES) when you run CHGENVNAM.
