ESX 5.5.3 Upgrade for SHA-256
12th October 2015
EXTOL released an upgrade to ESX 5.5.3 to address SHA-256 functionality.
In particular:
- An issue where the value, SHA256, is an unrecognized algorithm when receiving messages has been corrected.
- The ability to generate SHA-256 self-signed certificates has been added to the product.
Users will be able to use earlier versions, but ESX would not be ‘stable’. Meaning ESX users can set-up to transact with AS2 partners, but might encounter errors when receiving signed SHA-256 documents.
