Scenario:

When trying to send AS2/SSL data via EXTOL Secure to Wells Fargo (Safetrans.wellsfargo.com:5000), we encountered java.lang.NullPointerException error.

Error Message:

Signed document(sha1)
Encrypted document(3des/192)
Enveloped document
Connecting to Safetrans.wellsfargo.com:5000
Established connection(Safetrans.wellsfargo.com:5000)
Failed to send HTTP request(java.lang.NullPointerException)
Closed connection
Session delivery failed; waiting specified interval of 5 minutes before re-attempting to deliver.

Resolution:

After discussing issue with EXTOL support, we determined the best route to resolve this issue would be to restart the ESX Server.
